snapshot of an ordinary day

I want to remember what an ordinary day is like at this season of life, so here's a quick journal of my day today...

Life with an almost-4-year old, two-year old and 6 month old:

--Two out of three kids slept in today, meaning I was able to have a quiet time first thing this morning!  A rarity indeed!
--Made blueberry baked oatmeal for breakfast.  Callan asked if I could make "Chunky Monkey" baked oatmeal tomorrow.  He likes it better.  (bananas, chocolate chips, coconut)
--I participated in blanket time with C & K.  We all read our own books for 20 minutes.  Yes, there really was 20 minutes of silence.  And, yes, I was actually able to read another chapter in my novel (The Help).
--Watched Callan walk over to Finn and start playing with him/making him laugh.  I said, "Are you pretending that Finn's the bad guy and you're shooting him with your super powers?"  He replied, "No, I'm just playing with him."  And then I watched the two of them giggle together for the next ten minutes.  Callan can make anyone laugh.  That's what I love about him.
--Callan said he lost a button off of his Mario costume and that it fell in the "cave."  Mommy came to the rescue and fished it out of the floor vent.  :)
--I sewed Callan's button back on his costume.  I love that part of my job description as a stay-at-home mom is to fix dress-up clothes.  :)
--I helped Callan take off and put back on his Mario costume every time he went to the bathroom today.
--I talked to my mom on the phone at 3pm.  We both confessed to still being in our pajamas.
--I helped Callan make mini volcanoes with baking soda, a medicine dropper and colored vinegar (thanks, Gretch!).
--I received new pyrex containers and flushable diaper liners in the mail from amazon.  These are the type of things stay-at-home moms order from amazon.
--I completed our February budget and paid all our bills.
--I organized a Busy Bag exchange among a dozen other moms.
--I cooked the most amazing lasagna for dinner.  The best part is it was a freezer meal I made a few weeks ago, so it was a no cooking night!
--I watched home videos with my kids.  They love laughing at themselves on tv and seeing what they were like as babies.
--I wiped three kids' noses more than several times today.  Yay for cold season!
--I watched Finn roll from one end of the living room to the other.  He's getting more and more mobile!
