early morning tears

This morning I was explaining the verse Colossians 3:23-24 to the kids as we were talking about how we are to ultimately do our school work for the Lord, not just for Mommy.  It says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."

I was explaining to them that God tells us to work hard when doing our school work, and we should work hard for Him because someday he'll give us a reward in heaven.  Kinsley replied, "Do you think Uncle Aaron got his reward when he went to heaven?"

She always asks about Uncle Aaron when we talk about heaven. 

Tears.

And, yes, I do think Uncle Aaron is still reaping the benefits of his reward in heaven.
