Before Pictures

Well the long awaited results of Mom's 50th birthday home makeover will be revealed today. We'll be posting after pictures later today. There aren't many before pictures because Bea had already begun the arduous task of cleaning before our arrival Thursday night.

Let me just give you a little tour of what was...

The upstairs was a bright yellow which Mom liked, but there were pictures everywhere. In the kitchen stuff overflowed cabinets and drawers. Everything was covered in pictures of family and friends which is fine, but some of the pictures hadn't been updated since the 80's.

The livingroom was a blueish teal color that my high school friends and I had painted it. There was also teal painted here and there on the ceiling (because we didn't know what painters' tape was) There were DVDs and VHSs scattered around the tv.

Katelyn's room (which is Tonya's old room) was piled high with Dora this and Strawberry Shortcake that. It went to and fro and flowed like the tide. There was a Relient K poster which covered a hole which went through the door. Oh the humanity!

The basement was so bad, that no one took before pictures. This was my domain growing up and had since become a storage pit, full of everything from tires to games, to books, to Fantastic cleaner from who knows when. It was "Fresh Vinegar" scent, so it must have been from the 60's or 80's . The basement was painted by me and high school friends in Teal, Orange, and Pink. There were murals and everything from when we hung out there in the mid to late 90's.
