I cleaned out the part of Gram's attic that Mom uses for storage. It is a place that few people have ever gone. It was a mess, but there were a few gems that I found there like this, a stuffed whale that I had sewed for Tonya when I was in 7th grade Home Ec. When I showed it to Renee and the rest of the crew, I was certain that nominate me to sew the couch cushions or curtains. Instead they insisted that I burn it with the rest of the "trash." It was a humbling experience because I thought it was beautiful.
