Teaching Kids to Act

As a terrible actor myself, I thought it only fitting that I'd give my kids a little advice when reading a play. The usual reading is flat, choppy, but after explaining each character's motivation to the class they did much better. I realize that when I do an old man voice, it has a Scottish hint to it.

By the end of the lesson I had a girl doing a perfect impression of an old man and a boy who could play the role of "the dog" like he was a natural. It's just funny when you teach kids to emphasize words and stop at punctuation.

So can I hear your best old man voice!?
