Jokull 2? Anyone Confused???

No we're not having twins, but there IS another Jokull in our lives now.
As ya'll know, I'm virtually finished with grad school, with only one more assignment to submit to Grand Canyon University. It only took 11 months to complete 33 credits. I'd highly recommend the online program for anyone out there who needs to complete grad school.

Anyway, as a graduation gift Renee adopted me a Magellanic Penguin from Argentina. This might be confusing, but we named him Jokull. (My alternative name was Godzilla) The name will stick better with a penguin than a baby I guess. It's more fitting since Jokull means "glacier of ice".

Here's a few quick facts:

Jokull may be a girl or a boy. Basically after Renee submitted the money to adopt Jokull for the year, the researchers go out and find a nest penguin and mark its hole. Thus the penguin living there is named Jokull.

Magellanic Penguins travel between Argentina and Chile and the Falkland Islands. During October and November they come ashore to find and nest and a mate. Then they find a hole and lay their eggs. So right now Jokull has two chicks living in his nest. He takes turns with the Mrs. feeding the chicks and finding fish.
On the map Jokull's den is in section 2 and is marked with the letter "P", so if you're in Argentina in the next few months you can stop by.

Anyway. I'll keep ya'll posted as I get my future updates.
