Well, Dr. Apgar said I have not really progressed much since last week. I guess I was 50% effaced last week and 60% this week. No real dilation yet. He said they won't induce until between 41-42 weeks, as long as the baby's heartbeat stays healthy until then. There is more of a risk of having to do a C-section during a first-time pregnancy when you are induced, so he's trying to "keep his hands off of me" as he puts it. He said that if I start to get more contractions it might move the baby out of this oblong position and get things moving. I thought all of those braxton hicks that I've been having at night would have helped me along a little more, but no such luck. Overall, he said things still look good, and I haven't gained any weight recently, so I'm holding steady.
Gene was hoping for the baby to be born yesterday since his favorite number is 11, but I'm still here....pressing on and feeling good!
