Family Weekend: Part 1

"Uncle Aaron" has been itching for me to blog about this past weekend. My WHOLE family came down for a visit. Mom, Dad, Aaron, Tawn, Brian and Avery. We all wanted to take a trip to the National Zoo. I'll have to write a few posts to show you all the pics we took.

First up: the Metro to ride into D.C. We had a little trouble getting onto the Metro. We tried using one ticket to get four people through the gate until one of the security guards approached my sister and started shaking his head at her. Next time we'll know that you can't put
$20 on one ticket and get everyone through at once. I was very proud of my mom for remembering the advice I gave to her the last time she rode the metro with me, "Mom, just ACT like you know what you're doing even if you don't so that you don't get shot in D.C."

A bunch of country folks on the metro ready to take on the city

Callan loved riding in Avery's backpack carrier.
Uncle Aaron (aka "Body Builder") loved toting around his nephews at the zoo.

The crew huddled around an animal exhibit.

More to come...
