My newphew, Avery, just turned ONE on October 19th! Here are some pictures:
"Happy Birthday to you..." Avery checks out his monkey birthday cake while we all sing to him.
He wasn't so sure about the cupcake with the candle. It took him awhile before he dug into it.
Finally he grabbed the candle out...
...and put it on the floor!
(Luckily my sister thought to put a plastic liner under his high chair.)
My sister finally had to show him that it was ok to eat it.
And that was all the encouragement that he needed!

He loved the card that Mimi and Poppop got for him. It played music when you opened it, so he kept opening and closing it!
