To my wife many thanks coming to you in a poem
For being so encouraging when work made me groan.
For listening to all the occurrences of the day
For releasing me to go out with friends and play
Thank you for all the Saturdays you watched over our son
While I did grading, and planning, and having no fun.
Thank you for making dinner each and every night
and letting me play with Callan and kiss him goodnight.
Thank you for understanding when I'd fall asleep
on the couch at 6:30pm in a useless heap
To my wife I say thank you, for you are too kind
But I'm ever so grateful that God made you mine.
