So I ask myself that this morning as I feed Callan eggs, some buttered bread and Cheeri-Os. He's just sitting there being all cute and fun. It is a definite blessing to actually have some time off of work and enjoy family time. Callan seems to really be enjoying time with me a lot more lately. We sat and watch Ice Age and some Planet Earth Videos. He is a big fan of Scrat and of loud birds and monkeys (a boy after my own heart). I taught him to show me his feet and his nose over the past few days. He really enjoys being outside in his wagon and also watching He-man run around the yard when we eat outside. The problem is the He-man is not very fond of Callan chasing him around.
I'm trying to establish a summer "game plan" seeing as I really have nothing to do right now until August 11th when school stuff starts up. I've applied to the zoo, but never heard anything back. I posted a tutoring ad on craigslist last week and only got spam back. I added my tutoring info to another website in hopes that that will prove to be fruitful. I figured I could try my hand at retail, so I applied to Petsmart (some of their questions were odd, to say the least. One was how do you feel interacting with "slow people"?)
So here I sit. Waiting. I have a few little side things to get done around the house and I'd like to maybe do something creative. Don't get me wrong, I love doing nothing, but the pay isn't all that great. So if you would, please pray that I'd find a good summer job that would also allow me to have plenty of time to spend teaching Callan new tricks and just enjoying time with my wonderful wife.
