I thought I would scream if I heard this word one more time the other day. It had been two days straight that Callan had repeatedly said, "Bubbles? Bubbles? Bubbles?" And for two days straight he carried his bubble wand around in one hand and a container of bubbles in the other. I'm not joking. He took naps with them, he took them to the store, he ate with them (I even had to feed him because he wouldn't put them down), and slept with them all night. The only word he would say all day is "bubbles."
Finally Gene and I had to take the bubbles while he was sleeping and hide ALL of them. Even now he'll still say the word often, wanting me to take him outside to blow bubbles, but the bubbles are taking a rest for a few days...on a shelf in the garage.
Here are some pics of him when he woke up from his nap the other day. I walked into his room when I heard him awake, and he immediately stood up with both bubbles in each hand and looked at me and said, "Bubbles?"
