The real truth behind the pictures

Yes it WAS a crazy weekend here in Huston Land. I gave everyone a fantastic cold that I enjoyed the second half of last week. We found a great house and put an offer on it Friday night and then went to bed.

Saturday was crazy - full of no real sleep but lots of "gaps". Renee was going to a wedding shower and I stayed home with Callan. I went out to get some food to celebrate finding our new home. My two guy friends couldn't come over so it was just Callan and I to eat some awesome bison burgers and smiley faces, which are pictured in Renee's blog post below.

Anyway there was a lot of chaos while I was making dinner. I gave Callan a hotdog and I started the smiley faces and burgers. I had bought maple flavor bacon, and it smelled heavenly as the sizzling sound filled the air. But about five minutes into the bacon frying the mapley grease smell was covered by smoke as the bacon started burning. I ran to open the windows to prevent the smoke detectors from going off. (That's all I need is for the sprinklers to turn on and ruin all our furniture two months before owning our own home.)

That's about the time Callan was repeatedly saying "Potty, Potty. Poop! Poop!" I ran him over to set him on his froggy potty and went back to fighting smoke. 30 seconds later Callan was saying poop and pointing to it. With his cold he got a nice bout of diareah.

After all that settled down and the Callan was cleaned up, we went back to enjoy the lovely meal Renee posted Yesterday.

It was a meal modeled after Tedd's Montana Grill's "The Kitchen Sink". It was a seasoned bison burger with maple bacon (unburned), cheddar cheese, a fried egg all on a sesame seed bun. Yum!
