No, Mama. Buffalo.

So, this buffalo obsession has been taken to the next level. I bought animal crackers for Callan thinking he'd love them since he's an animal fanatic. One of the first crackers he ate happened to be a buffalo. So, of course he kept asking for more buffaloes. I looked through the crackers for more buffaloes but couldn't find many more.

I said, "Look! Here's an elephant! You love elephants! Why don't you eat this one?" His reply was, "No, Mama. Buffalo."

After several minutes of hearing cries of "More buffalo, Mama. More buffalo." I grabbed a random animal and said, "Here. Buffalo." thinking he wouldn't really examine it but just pop it into his mouth.

He took the cracker, looked at it, and then handed it back to me while saying (with a very serious face), "No, Mama. Buffalo." It was as if he was saying, "Come on, Mom. You can't pull one over on me. I'm a buffalo expert."

So, to this day he'll only eat the buffalo crackers. Although this weekend he did begin to branch out and decided that it was ok to eat the moose ones, too.

What a character!
