my boy

A few notes-to-remember on my boy:

--He LOVES peanut butter! Peanut butter bread, peanut butter apples, peanut butter on a spoon...he loves it all!

--We've been making him ask for things in sentence form lately. I'll say, "Callan, repeat after me....Mommy, may I have some peanut butter bread please." I'll say one word at a time and he'll repeat after me. After a few days of doing this, he picked up on it pretty quickly. After awhile (when he would ask for something) I would begin saying, "Mommy, may I..." and he would quickly chime in and finish the rest of the sentence without being prompted. The other day he forgot to say "please." This is how our conversation went:

me: Callan, you forgot to ask Mommy using kindness. Say it again. Mommy...
Callan: Mommy
me: may
Callan: may
me: I
Callan: I
me: have
Callan: have
me: some
Callan: some
me: peanut butter bread
Callan: peanut butter bread
me: pppp (I kept making the "p" sound to try to prompt him to say "please")
Callan: ppppp...poop!
me: No, Callan. Not poop. You need to say please.
Callan: peas! (His "please" sounds more like "peas" right now.)

Oh, my boy! He always seems to have poop on his mind. haha

(he asked me to take a picture of him eating peanut butter bread)
