Aunt Kel (who lives with us) had been away all weekend. When Callan saw her for the first time this morning, he ran into her arms yelling, "Aunt Kel!" with giddy excitement. Then, a few minutes later while Callan was eating breakfast, he pointed to his tray in front of him and said, "Present for Aunt Kel."
"What?" I asked in confusion. He said he had made a present for Aunt Kel. It was his cereal bowl filled with a few fruit loops and then covered with a yellow dish rag with cheerios sprinkled on top.
I asked him what the present was. He said it was snow. I was curious where he came up with snow, so I said, "Where did you get snow when it's not even winter?"
He replied, "In Daddy's shovel."
Then he wanted to take his present down to Aunt Kel. On the way down he told me that the yellow dish rag and the cheerios were a volcano on top of the present. What an imagination that boy has!
