6th anniversary trip

We were able to get away for a MUCH NEEDED overnight trip for our anniversary in October.

We started off in downtown Silver Spring with a relaxing morning
enjoying drinks at Gene's favorite coffee joint....Caribou.

Actually we hit up two coffee joints, to make both of us happy.

some fun backdrops in Silver Spring

They were also having a Farmer's Market in the street that day,
so we hit up a few vendors...

...including this yummy crepes stand for lunch.

Gene took over the camera while I devoured my crepe.

We then left Silver Spring to head to Annapolis for the remainder of the day.
We walked by the water and enjoyed the beautiful weather!

So many cool backdrops for pictures...

We tried....and tried....and tried to get a good shot of us sporting "6 years" in front of the State House. We finally had to give up and leave because a wedding party was moving in on us. This is the best we could do.

We walked across this bridge to get to dinner (to use a gift card to Ruth's Chris...wahoo!) and right when we passed the middle of the bridge the alarm sounded and the draw bridge was lifted up.

After dinner we traveled a short distance to Arundel Mills to stay at this ultra hip/modern hotel. Very clean and comfy! We recommend it.
