So, a few weeks ago I heard Gene in the bathroom with Kinsley. He said she asked to go to the potty, so he (kind of jokingly) sat her on it....and she actually went to the bathroom!
Fast forward to yesterday during breakfast:
K: Potty, Mommy.
Me: You have to go to the potty?
K: Yes.
Me: Ok. Well, just go in your diaper. It's ok.
K: No, potty, Mommy! Potty, Mommy! Potty, Mommy! (in an intense, urgent voice)
Me: You want to go sit on the potty?
K: Yes.
Me: Ok. Let's go.
I took her to the bathroom, sat her on the potty, and immediately she pooped in the potty and said, "All done, Mommy."
Tonight after dinner she said the same thing. She started chanting, "Potty, potty, potty, Mommy!" and then she ran into the bathroom and pointed to the potty. I sat her down and she immediately peed and then said, "All done!"
I'm so not ready for this. She's only 17 months! She definitely has an awareness of what's going on in her diaper. She pulls at it and says, "Pee pee, Mommy" from time to time during the day. When I go to change her then, she's usually right. Potty training might just be too easy with her!

I have a feeling when she is ready, you better be ready too. Go for it. It's summer, less clothes to take off all the time. One in diapers come Aug. might be nice ;)
