Today I was watching my friend's two kids, so instead of taking 4 kids outside to play in the 100 degree heat (literally 100 degrees) I opted for this cute "O is for Octopus" craft that I saw here and here that we did inside in the cool 74 degree air conditioning. The kids loved it! The googly eyes were a big hit (I just happened to have some leftover from another craft) and the pom-pom nose, too.
Tonight Callan was walking around with his purple octopus (he's obsessed with octopuses...almost as much as moose and buffalo), and he turned to me in the most sincere voice and said, "Mommy, thank you for my octopus." That boy cracks me up!
