more conversations with the kids

Callan and Avery (cousin) were putting a puzzle together last week....

Avery: I'm going to town on this puzzle!  (a phrase that Grandpa often repeats with the kids)
Me: Callan, aren't you going to help Avery put the puzzle together?
Callan: I don't want to go through town, Mommy.

Kinsley is becoming cuter and cuter:

(in the car on the way to church today...)

Kinsley:  Mommy?
Me: What, Kinsley?
Kinsley: I love you!
Me: I love you, too, Kinsley!
Kinsley: Daddy, I love you!
Daddy: I love you, too, Kinsley!
Kinsley: Callan, I love you!
Callan: I love you, too, Kinsley!

For some reason, Callan came up with a new "joke" recently.  It's really not a joke at all, just a "punchline" that he says that sends him into giggles.  Last week on our car ride to PA he taught his joke to Kinsley.

The joke is that Callan says, "PINECONE!" and then (according to him) the correct response is "Are you kidding me?"  Gotta love 3-year-old humor!

C: Kinsley, guess what?  PINECONE!!  (giggles)
K: (our little mocking bird) Callan?
C: What?
K: PINECONE!! (giggles)
C: Are you kidding me?  (giggles)
C: Kinsley, guess what?  PINECONE!! (giggles)
K: Kidding me? (giggles)

The whole two weeks we were in PA she would go up to family and say, "Pinecone!" and everyone learned very quickly that the only response to that was, "Are you kidding me?" It's so funny to see these two siblings joke around together and make each other (and others) laugh out loud.
