I'm pulling the band-aid off tomorrow. We're not talking about a few hours alone. We're talking about 7am-5pm. Three kids ages three and under. And me. Me. All. By. Myself.
After almost three weeks of grandparents and help from Daddy, everyone is gone. Daddy is back to work. The grandparents have all packed up and headed back to life in the country. And life goes on. My first day caring for a home and 3 kids by myself.
I have to say I'm looking forward to getting back to a "new normal." Sure, it will take some time to get used to having a 20 month old trying to crawl onto my lap while I'm nursing (while she continues to suck her thumb and try to pet my hair) at the same time that my 3 year old is screaming from the bathroom that he needs me to come wipe him. One Mommy can only be stretched so far.
But, it's all worth it when I watch two older siblings sing to their younger sibling to get him to stop crying. Precious.
I'm looking forward to our "new normal."
