Hallgrímskirkja is a Lutheran parish church in Reykjavík. At 73 meters, it is the largest church in Iceland and the sixth tallest architectural structure in Iceland.



A monument of Leif Ericson stands in front of the church. It is the work of A. Stirling Calder and was placed in 1930 to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the Althing, the Icelandic Parliament (the world's oldest parliament).
