Nana

I had minor outpaitient surgery last week, so Nana came to help out with the kids for a few days.

introductions

Gretch stops in for a visit...thanks for always being there, my friend!
I can always count on you to drop everything for a fellow clone baby. :)

We are always grateful to see Aunt Kel around!
Thanks for coming by the hospital for a quick snuggle with our girlie!

One of our favorite engaged couples stopped by, too!
Jer & Lauren....is this a glimpse into the future?!

Daddy's tradition: giving his kids their first "toy from Daddy."
Kinsley receives a glowworm.

And, Kinsley's first visitors: the grandparents...
Gene's mom came to watch Callan while we were at the hospital.
Thanks for being a HUGE help this past week!

With cameras ready, my parents see Kinsley for the first time

The proud Grandparents of now FOUR grandchildren!

My dad couldn't make it to the hospital when I gave birth to Callan...but he was my first phone call when Kinsley was born! My poor mom was in the middle of singing in their church's Christmas program and had to wait 3 hours to hear the good news!

(This is why there was such a delay in our blogging between "Renee is ready to push" until we posted "It's a girl!"...we wanted to tell our parents first. Sorry to all our loyal fans who kept refreshing our blog waiting in anticipation for our news.)

Nana...who is so excited to get to buy girlie clothes for two granddaughters now!

8 visitors

Right after we got back from our Atlanta vacation we had 8 visitors come stay with us for a night. My "Aunt" Pat, Alicia ( Aunt Pat's daughter), Alicia's 2 daughters, my mom, my sister, and my sister's two kids. When everyone was here, there were 5 kiddos under the age of 3!

[Side Note: When we were little, my mom and "Aunt" Pat would take Tawn, me and Alicia to the Reading Outlets. On our way home we would ALWAYS get lost, and our moms would say, "Girls, please be on the look out for the brown signs so we can find our way back home." Us girls would be giggling in the back seat, "accidentally" overlooking those brown signs, hoping that we'd get to spend the night together instead of going back home. Ahhh, the memories!]

It was a full house to say the least, but it was tons of fun! We had kids sleeping in bathrooms, pack 'n plays set up everywhere and Gene and me on a half blown up air mattress. It was definitely a trip that everyone will remember.

Splish! Splash! The kiddos had fun splashing around in the fountain at Rockville...

(Caitlin was not so happy to be outside in the hot heat)

Playtime inside...

A walk around our neighborhood before dinner...

Holiday Weekend: July 4 continued

More 4th of July fun with friends and family...

a quick end-of-the-day shot with all three cousins

Addison checking out the dirt pile

checking the lawn mower's "motor" to make sure it works

the "twins" work together to get the mower working
(it's so nice...and cute...that they are old enough to interact now)

Baby Caitlin sleeping in Nana's arms

lunch time!

Doing what they do best...being Grandparents (and loving every minute of it)!

the queen makes an appearance...haha...Mimi in all her beauty!

My dad was sooo excited to have his two grandsons home this weekend so that he could take them for rides in the back of his mower. Unfortunately, Avery was scared of the mower. Callan couldn't get enough of it, though! Every time Grandpa would begin to walk towards the outside door, Callan would go up to him and start signing "more," because he thought Grandpa was heading out towards the mower. They had lots of grandpa-grandson bonding riding around the neighborhood!

Sometimes Daddy rode in the back with Callan while Grandpa drove

"Look at my cute fresh haircut!"

Tootsie Roll Time!

Nana LOVES her tootsie rolls, and I think her influence is rubbing off on someone else. :)
