Menu Monday: Tired of Turkey?

Well, you probably aren't tired of turkey yet, but by this Friday night, after you've probably eaten Turkey for three straight meals in a row, I'm certain that you'll be itching for a new way to eat your Thanksgiving leftovers.

Well, staying true to my Pennsylvania roots, this week's Menu Monday wouldn't be complete without a great Klinger Family after-Thanksgiving tradition of using the turkey leftovers to make the infamous...."Turkey and Waffles!" This is one of my most favorite things about Thanksgiving.

It's really easy. All you have to do it heat up your leftover turkey pieces in a pot of your leftover gravy. While that's heating up on the stove, toast two breakfast waffles. Then, pour the gravy/turkey mixture over the two waffles, sprinke with pepper, and enjoy! It's really the only way to rid your fridge of those yummy turkey leftovers. That reminds me...I need to go add "waffles" to my next grocery list....

Well, this was certainly a clone baby moment. My aunt always sends turkey home with me and I was trying to figure out what do with it on Friday...besides turkey sandwiches. Turkey and waffles is perfect! I'll have to steal some gravy when she isn't looking! Thanks Renee! Gretchen
