Deck the Halls

'Tis the season here at the Huston Household....sick season that is. With all our students at school sneezing and coughing up yucky germs, one of us is always bound to catch a cold from one of the youngsters and pass it on to the other one. Well, I was the lucky one this year (as you could tell from one of my previous posts) and now I've passed it on to my lucky husband. I can only pray that I'm half as "servant-hearted" towards him as he was towards me.

Anyway, on with a merrier subject...Christmas! I thought I'd post a few pics of what our humble home looks like now that I've decked us out in greenery and lights. This year I'm so excited to have finally collected the whole Willow Tree Nativity set. My mom and Gene have been getting me pieces to the set each Christmas, and after I get the creche from my mom this Christmas (Ummmm, I mean......I hope my mom will get me for Christmas this year) I'll have the whole set! Growing up, I remember one of the most exciting parts of helping my mom and dad decorate for Christmas was unwrapping the family nativity set piece by piece. That's why I treasure my own Nativity set now.

Anyway.....on with deck the halls and fa, la, la, la la....

My feeble attempt at creating at festive picture display for our wall.

This was the only 5 seconds that I didn't have a tissue attached to my nose the whole weekend!

My Nativity scene (minus the creche...for now)

Our "mantle" (a.k.a. the counter overlooking the living room)
