Our journey of learning to "kiss the waves that throw us against the Rock of Ages.” ~Charles Spurgeon

Do you see what I see....?
Last night we had all the single people at church who are in a care group at our church mixin and mingling. They had festive egg nog and spice cakes and all the desserts that make this time of year great.
It was fun to get caught up with people I hadn't seen in awhile. Even though Renee and I were a little under the weather, we went and tried to have a good time. Our care group joined forces with my friend Ian's care group, as group 7. As Ian and I were brainstorming, we thought it'd be good to use the 12 days of Christmas song for our inspiration. So we evaluated the song and saw that there were supposed to be "seven swans a swimming". We thought that'd be awkward to do cuz swans aren't very cool. Then we tried out the "maids a milking", but decided that'd be funny but the appropriateness might be questionable. We settled on "Seven Pipers piping. You can see the result below.
Besides the fact that we looked like professional pipers, the highlight was our white elephant gift exchange and my gift won top 4 worst gifts out of 400 other gifts. That made me happy!
