Going from a single gal to a married woman took some adjusting...just as going from being just a wife to being a wife and mother is taking some adjusting.
Here are some things I've learned in the first month of being a mom:
--I'm really good at typing and eating with one hand
--I can carry Callan's car seat in one hand and the mail, 3 bags of groceries, keys, my breakfast, a thermos, and open the front door with the other hand all at the same time
--Most of my conversations with other women now begin with, "How much sleep did you get last night?"
--Taking a sitz bath for 15 minutes in the bathroom is my 15 minutes of quiet time each day
--Callan will most certainly poop right after I change him and button all 999 buttons of his onesie and pants
--Callan will always find a way to squirm both his fists and legs out of the blanket when we swaddle him
--Having a complete conversation with a friend may take several days (right Evie?)
--When Callan's face turns bright red, that can only mean one thing
--Having my mom and my sister on speed dial is helpful
--Being a mom is the best job ever
--God gives much grace for middle of the night feedings
--I have the most wonderful husband in the world (but I didn't need to become a mom to realize that)

Ah, I can't wait to see you again. I must let you know that when I read "When Callan's face turns bright red, that can only mean one thing" I laughed. Out loud. Here at work. So funny.
Praying for you!
