Little Man Update

Here are some updates on what our little man has been up to lately...

--Favorite words of his: apple, bread (his fav food at this point....he likes to eat a slice before bed along with his milk), all done, again, Him (for "Heman"), Dad (not "Dadda" or "Daddy" but just plain "Dad"...he likes to scream this while running through the house...so funny!), and Mom
--He can identify some body parts when we ask him....he loves to show us where his tongue is as well as his belly button, foot and nose
--He's getting better at knowing where the baby is when we ask him (he won't just point at my stomach but has to point directly at my belly button)
---Last night he "kissed" the baby for the first time (again, just my belly button)
--He really loves music and will "head bang" to any song he hears with a beat (even if it's someone's ringtone that goes off at Target)
--He loves cell phones (what kid doesn't, right?) and since Gene and I both got new ones yesterday, Callan inherited two last night which made his year. He accidently pushed a button to make a call on my phone, and a woman's voice came on saying, "Your service has been disconnected from this phone..." and it freaked him out. He came running up the stairs holding out the phone to me as if to say, "Fix it, Mommy!" I turned it off and gave it back to him, and he went on his way, continuing to "talk" on his phone.
--(and my fav) After months of practicing how to pray before we eat (we've been folding his hands and showing him how we "pray to Jesus" before we eat, and he usually would leave his hands folded for about 3 seconds before looking around at us like we were crazy) he actually reminds us now to pray before we eat! The other day I was running around getting lunch for Callan and me and finally sat down and started chowing down. A few seconds later I heard Callan making noises (figuring he wanted more food) and looked over to see him sitting there patiently with his hands folded waiting for me to pray! Now all we have to do is say, "Let's pray to Jesus for our food, Callan" and he'll immediately fold his hands for our WHOLE prayer. Sometimes he'll even stop in the middle of eating and want us to pray for each bite he takes! haha

Aw ... I love it all, but especially his praying. Little ones are so good at reminding you of what you ought to do (so be careful what you teach him =) ha ha ha!).

Avery reminds us too if we forget to pray. So cute! Like the shirt! :-)
