Well last night we officially got a second car and I'm quite happy with it. It's a black 1996 Isuzu Trooper. It's all beat up and rough around the edges, but runs well with no real issues. The carpets are all stained from years of use and there's a hint of WD-40 in the air. It reminds me of growing up when many of my family members had Troopers for on and off road adventures.
Two quick stories with my "new" 1996 Isuzu Trooper (I don't know whether to call it a truck, SUV, and Callan calls it a jeep, although I think that's only a brand name)
Story 1 - When we went to get the title 2 nights ago, Callan exclaimed, "Oooh Jeep, Daddy's jeep" and ran over to it. When I opened the door he jumped in shotgun and said, "Oh Yes" (his new thing to say when he approves of something)
Story 2 - At the MVA yesterday while I was snaking through the line to get a number, I over heard the following conversation at the counter. "Yes it has 986,220 miles on it" "Ma'am your car is a 2002. I don't even think it's possible to drive that far" I have to give her credit because the MVA lady was nice about it and simply asked her to go double check. Later while snaking in line the woman came back from rechecking and it was in fact 98,622 miles. (by the way it IS possible to drive that far if you never rest AND go 60 miles an hour for 7 1/2 years straight)

Okay, that last part at MVA had me laughing! 986,220 miles. That's hilarious! And the MVA lady's response is great!
