Thanks everyone for asking about Kinsley. On Monday (her birthday) she went to the Dr.'s for her one year check up and got diagnosed with (yet another) ear infection. She came home and threw up twice (out of the blue) and then again during the night. Tuesday morning I was in the middle of calling the doctor, and she threw up again. They recommended we take her to the ER to get an IV since she had lost so many fluids.
So, Gene spent the day in the ER with her. No IV, luckily. She sucked down the Pedialyte and managed to keep it down while at the ER, so they didn't have to give her the IV.
Her first and 2nd time throwing up on Monday was after she drank whole milk for the first time. She's been in the clear since then...until today when she threw up again after eating lunch. She had milk today for the first time since Monday, so we're still thinking she might be allergic to it. Sigh.
So, right now we're just waiting to see if she just has a stomach bug or if it's an allergic reaction to milk. Unfortunately, the doctor said it would actually be a good sign if Callan started throwing up, too, because then it would most likely be a bug and not an allergy.
Today at lunch Callan saw Kinsley throw up and said, "Mommy, Kinsley's tummy hurt and my tummy hurt, too," and he pushed his plate aside and made a sad face. I was pretty sure he was pulling my leg, so I told him that if he didn't eat his lunch then he couldn't help Daddy shovel the snow later.
He ate his food.

So...I'm not sure if I'm praying that Callan would throw up or not since that would possibly diagnose Kinsley. I'm still debating that one.
For now Kinsley is SUPER cuddly and loves to crawl up into our laps and snuggle. That I am enjoying.
