my little sweetness

Whenever I walk into Kinsley's room to get her up from her nap, 99% of the time I'm greeted with her standing up in her crib, smiling from ear to ear, jumping up and down slightly....excited to see Mama coming in to play with her.  Sweetness.  That's the first word that comes to mind when I see my baby one-year-old girl standing there with that huge grin of hers.

Today Sweetness is 1 year + 1 month old.  I love so many things about this girl...

*the way she dances and "head-bangs" whenever she hears any music (even little clips of music from tv commercials)
*the way her lip curls down and she starts to pout when you say "no" to her
*the close relationship she has with her brother (he cries when I put her down for a nap and says, "Nooooo!  I want to play with Baby 'Tinsley!'  No put her down for nap!")
*how cute she looks in her dresses & tights
*the way she lays right down for naps and bedtime without fussing or even flinching
*the way she sucks her thumb and pulls the back of her hair as she goes to sleep
*the way she scurries up AND down the stairs on her belly...like her big brother taught her
*the way she smiles at everyone...even strangers...and everyone replies, "You've made my day, little girl!"

This girl isn't always sweet.  Only 99% of the time.  The other 1% is when she's not getting her own way and grunts and screams.  As soon as she turned one, she began to have strong likes and dislikes.  She began to desire certain toys and food, and if she doesn't get them when she wants them, out pops her little sinful self.

But, for the most part, Sweetness is, well...just that.  Sweet.  And I love her.
