The quiet life of PA
My dad sent me two pictures recently. One was of an apple pie he made. He was so proud of this first apple pie that he had ever baked. I think he said that he even picked the apples off of the apple trees that grow in my parent's backyard. Hahaha....he cracks me up! Another photo that he sent to me was of the pond that is located right around the corner from their house in PA. It's literally a one minute walk away. My sister and I used to play there often as kids along with Leslie, the neighbor girl whose dad owned the pond. It was also a quiet, serene place that I used to go to when I needed some time away or a quiet place to have my devotions for the day. Isn't it a gorgeous place at sunrise? (that's the time my dad took the picture) It's no wonder that my now brother-in-law chose this location to propose to my sister a few years ago. Quite romantic! That's one of the many things I miss about "easy-going" PA while living here in "traffic-congested" MD.

Renee, I remember many a "photgraphy" sessions down at the pond! Oh, the good old days!
Renee, I definitely have fond memories of the pond as well. I spent many days of my childhood at your house! Oh, I miss the good old days, too!!
That was me, Gretchen.
