Pauly update

Well many have asked whatever became of Pauly the nasal polyp. Well over a month later I have some answers. On Friday I went to the doctor's to review the CAT scan results. He said that first off, I had a deviated septum (the little bone that runs down the center of my nose is bent to the right maybe from a childhood accident). He also said that in the CAT scan the cheek sinuses next to my nose should be black, meaning oxygen is getting to them. Mine were light gray. He said I have definitely had some kind of chronic infection, but as long as it wasn't bothering me (which it isn't) surgery wouldn't be necessary. He gave me a prescription for some strong steroids to make the swelling and beginnings of other nasal polyps shrink down, and he said that I'll have to take Flonase forever to make them stay small. So I won't be rid of Pauly's friends but they won't get any bigger. That is the long and short of it. Thanks so much to all of you who have been asking questions and praying for this whole odd situation.
