Gene has been great at helping me see that, even though a one bedroom apartment is not where I desire to be right now, God is providing for us in unique ways. And, what hilarious stories to share with our child some day! ("Yes, my son/daughter. It's true. Daddy and I had to use one of the shelves in the closet as your make-shift crib until we moved out of our apartment.") haha....Luckily it's not quite that cramped in our apartment right now. In fact, after Gene put together the chest of drawers and the changing table that we ordered, we found out that both of those pieces of furniture fit perfectly in our bedroom next to my dresser. Our bedroom is actually pretty large, so it worked! (And the thing that surprised me the most was that the baby's furniture is actually almost the same color as our bedroom furniture, so it doesn't look completely awful in the room together.) The only thing that's sad is that we have no room to put together our crib, so it will remain in the box. BUT, Gene's mom is giving us the cradle that was Gene's as a baby, so we'll have that to use for now.
Anyway, here are some pictures of my wonderful husband getting a good use out of his new tools.

I am so encouraged by your continual trust in God. Even though you may not have a window to look out of, you have adorable furniture that God allowed to fit perfectly in your apartment (including an adorable alligator)! God will lead you to exactly where he wants you to live at exactly the right time. Thanks for being such a great example to me :)
