--Your baby has really plumped up! She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek).
--She has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time!
--Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.
--Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? If she's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If she's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time she's 9 months old.
Thoughts from Mommy:
--I've now entered the "paranoid-that-my-water-is-going-to-break-in-public" stage. I know that most women don't have their water break before going to the hospital, but I'm sure that if there's anyone who will be counted in that small percentage of women who do, it would be me.
--I asked the Dr. last week if the shape of my stomach was normal (it seems to be very wide with two lumps on either side). He said that in "Dr. World" they call that "oblong." Leave it to my baby to find an odd shape to mold itself into.
--My appetite seems to be back to "pre-pregnancy" mode. I could skip lunch and be fine, although I'm making sure to eat at least some snacks during the day. No more "I could eat a whole pizza by myself" cravings. They said this might change once my baby drops and gives me more room in my stomach.
--Gene seems to have caught a cold this weekend, so I'm praying that I don't get it. So far I haven't been sick at all during the past 9 months. It would be a shame to get sick now, so close to the end!
--Our hospital class has now ended and Gene and I received our certificate of completion. I guess that means we're now fully qualified to be parents. ha ha

So, I had this totally weird dream about you and Gene and your baby. I met your baby for the first time and it was a GIRL! (So, if it's a girl, I totally called it!! :)) I don't really recall anything else from the dream, but I guess that was the important part. Anyway, I hope everything is going well for you and I'll see you whenever you come up again. (not Easter, I'm assuming since you're due that weekend...) Love you and see you soon!
I definately know what those could eat a whole pizza by yourself cravings are....I need out of this stage!! Its so weird because I usually eat small amounts throughout the day. Now I find myself eating throughout the day - but big amounts! I keep coming home each night hoping to get an email from your friend saying you are having the baby!
