We have some exciting news! Yesterday a good friend of ours, Kelly Shock, moved in with us. She took over our basement and will be living with us until she gets married in December. Gene and I went to college with Kel, and we were super happy when she moved down to MD soon after we did. Kel and I actually lived together for a short period before I got married to Gene. Now we're able to relive some of those moments by having her live with us before she gets married! Wahoo!
Kel was there at the hospital soon after Callan and Kinsley were born. She baby-sits regularly for the kiddos and serves me immensely by helping lead our Care Group girls. She's been one of my very bestest friends, and I will be very sad to see her move to Texas in December.
Callan is super excited to have "Aunt Kel" live with us, too. He's been pointing to her stuff today and saying, "Aunt Kel's, Aunt Kel's, Aunt Kel's..." When Kelly was out of the house today, Callan thought she was just downstairs sleeping, so he came over to Gene and me and said in a whisper, "Shhhh! Aunt Kel sleeping."
We will all be sad to see Kel leave us and move with her new hubby, Robbie, to Texas. I think Callan will be especially sad to see Aunt Kel go. It might be difficult to try to explain to him why she doesn't live in our basement anymore.
