A "grape" baby

I get these "Baby Updates" from a website that tells me what's happening to my baby that week and what new parts are growing. I'm very excited to hear that its tail is now gone! haha Here's what else I found out today....

--the baby is nearly an inch long, barely the size of a grape
--his embryonic tail is completely gone
--the development of his body parts including organs, muscles, and nerves is kicking into gear
--his eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks
--his upper lip is fully formed, and his mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct
--the baby's sex organs are present now but won't be discernable as male or female for another few weeks

For those of you who don't know already, we aren't going to find out the sex of the baby until its born. Gene and I have always said that we both wanted it to be a surprise. Good thing we both agree on this decision. It will be a great surprise....to everyone!

I say waiting is overrated! No really, if you both can be that patient I envy you!

Hmm...I noticed a lot of "he" in the descriptions. Was that from the website or a maternal instinct?? ;)
